A celebration
A celebration of business, community
& future generations in Wales
Cardiff
Marriott Hotel
The St David’s Day Dinner 2026 is a landmark celebration in the heart of Cardiff, uniting Wales’ dynamic business community with our rich cultural heritage and a strong focus on future generations. Bringing together guests from across the private, public and third sectors, the event will offer a unique platform for networking, collaboration and national pride on the Welsh patron saint's day
Showcasing the best of Welsh culture—from traditional and contemporary musical performances to a bilingual programme and a St David’s Day-inspired menu championing Welsh produce—the evening will highlight the strength and vibrancy of our nation’s identity.
For our inaugoral event, the St David's Day Dinner will support and raise funds for The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award to help further develop the charity’s work to support more disadvantaged young people in Wales, and marking its 70th anniversary year. The dinner will place young people at its heart; through youth ambassador involvement and dedicated fundraising, the event will support the development of skills, confidence and opportunities for the next generation.
The event is designed to become an annual fixture in Wales’ cultural and business calendar, the St David’s Day Dinner 2026 aims to strengthen connections across sectors, elevate Welsh culture within professional settings, and create a lasting legacy for communities throughout Wales, powered by organisations at the heart of transforming and shaping the future of our nation.
Our Charity
of the Year:
The Duke of Edinburgh's (DofE) Award is celebrating 70 years of supporting young people and to mark this significant milestone and continue the outstanding impact of the charity, the St David's Day Dinner 2026 will donate proceeds of the event to the DofE's work in Wales, to help further develop the charity’s work to support more disadvantaged young people in Wales.
About the DofE
We’ve learnt one thing: never doubt what young people can do. Time and time again, we’ve seen that when young people are given the chance to prove to themselves what they’re capable of, there’s no limit to what they can achieve.
We’re here to celebrate and champion every young person. To provide a safe environment of support and challenge that grows as they do.
Whatever their ability, interest or background, DofE offers young people the chance to strive for achievement, overcome obstacles, and set their minds to a personal challenge. Because when you prove to yourself that you’re ready for anything, nothing can hold you back.
Our Founder HRH Prince Philip once said: “There is more in you than you might think.” And, here at the DofE, we help you realise that.
Welcome to the DofE. Welcome to Youth Without Limits.
